You can potentially save on administration fees, typically ranging from 12-17% for self-managed packages compared to up to 35-50% for traditional provider-managed packages

Self-managed explained
To self-manage, you must:

Select an approved HCP provider that offers genuine self-management options

Take responsibility for finding and coordinating your care team
While self-management provides more control, it also requires more involvement in organising your care. The Australian Government still contributes the same subsidy amount, which is paid to your chosen provider. You remain responsible for any applicable fees and working within your overall package budget.
